The National Monuments Service's description
Within the N half of a possible ecclesiastical enclosure (SL027-141----). A roughly oval earthen platform (H c. 0.6m; 37m E-W; 27m N-S), with the ruin of a church (SL027-141001-) near its W end and a broken high cross (SL027-141003-) at its centre. There are no visible remains of any grave-markers or grave-plots. Described by O'Rorke ([1889], vol. 2, 249-50) as 'little used, if not disused'.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
