The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the N side of a stream, bordering the SW side of an expanse of wet pasture. The stream flows from a spring located at the base of a N-facing slope c. 25m to SW. A compact, oval-shaped mound (12m N-S; 7.5m E-W; H 0.6m) composed of a concentration of shattered sandstone in charcoal-rich soil. A slight slump or dip on the E side may indicate the location of the trough. There is a possible burnt mound (SL019-204001) 6m to W, a burnt mound (SL019-204003) c. 30m to NE, and a holy well (SL019-081) c. 25m to SW.
