The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on an E-W rise or low ridge in pasture. The ground level falls away to the N. Large raised circular area (68.8m E-W; 66m N-S) defined by a scarp (ext. H 1.5m at E, 0.8m at W), with slight traces of the original bank (Wth c. 3.5m) at NW. The entrance is not clearly defined but may have been at SW where the internal ground level is lowest relative to the exterior. Within the SE quadrant is a possible house (SL012-068002-). The NW quadrant is separated from the remainder by a curving bank (Wth 3-3.5m; H 0.7-0.9m). Large stones set in the bank may be remnants of stone facing. Constructed against the inner face of this bank, within the SE portion of the area it encloses, are the remains of a possible house (SL012-068003-). The NW quadrant is further sub-divided by low bank which extends from the NW corner of the house site to the perimeter at NNW. There is a holy well (SL012-067001-) at the base of the slope c. 90m to N.
