The National Monuments Service's description

On a hillock in an undulating landscape. Subcircular, grass and scrub-covered area (dims c. 50m N-S; c. 40m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.6-1m), which survives NW-E-SE. This is separated by a berm (at S: Wth 20m) or the natural slope of the hill (Wth 20m; H 1.6m) at E from a second bank (at SE: Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2.2m) which survives SE-S and an outer stone-faced and overgrown fosse (Wth of base 3.5m; ext. D 0.5-1.4m) SE-S. The bank inside the fosse is reduced to a scarp (at E: H 1.6m) E-SE and is replaced by a drystone revetment wall (H 1-1.2m) N-E. There is a third outer bank (Wth 2.8-3.2m; ext. H 0.3-0.6m) SE-S, but there is no recognisable entrance through any bank. The hill has been cut-back S-W-N and the two outer banks do not survive here (present max. ext. dims 96m N-S; c. 80m E-W).
