The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1928 ed. of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as 'Standing stone', and situated close to the summit of the ENE-WSW Slieve Dart ridge. Described as an upright stone (H c. 1.2m) (OS Name Book), there is no visible remains of the stone within a coniferous forest.
