The National Monuments Service's description
On a SE-facing slope at the E end of the Carnfree ridge. Within the ecclesiastical enclosure (RO028-075004-). Remote sensing (06R0081) has recovered evidence of an earlier bivallate enclosure (ext. diam. c. 100m; int. diam. c. 75m) pre-dating the ecclesiastical enclosure and within it. It surrounds the figure-of-eight enclosure (RO028-075010-). A section of the outermost ditch (Wth 3.3m; D 1.6m) of the bivallate enclosure was excavated (07E0769) at S. (Shanahan 2007, Shanahan and McNeary 2009)
