The National Monuments Service's description
Located towards the W edge of Cloonshannagh bog, c. 6m S of an element of the togher (RO024-024----). The platform (Wtth1.2m; T 0.15m) was orientated N-S and was composed of poorly preserved regularly laid roundwood and brushwood transverses underlain by light brushwood longitudinals. The elements were moderately densely laid 0.02 to 0.19m apart. The roundwood and brushwood ranged from 0.07 to 0.09m and from 0.015 to 0.04m in diameter, respectively. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified Sphagnum-rich peat with occasional Calluna and Eriophorum inclusions.
