The National Monuments Service's description
Located towards the W edge of Cloonshannagh bog, c. 25m E of togher (RO024-023----) and c. 18m N of platform (RO024-050----). This platform (Wth 6m; T 0.9m) was recorded in a drain face, 0.2m below the field surface. It was orientated E-W and was composed of moderately well preserved randomly laid roundwood and brushwood longitudinals interspersed with occasional roundwood transverses. The elements did not form an obvious structure and the distance between the top and base of the site measured 0.6m with elements laid 0.10 to 0.20m apart. The roundwood and brushwood ranged from 0.04 to 0.14m and from 0.02 to 0.05m in diameter, respectively. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified Sphagnum-rich peat with occasional Calluna inclusions.
