The National Monuments Service's description
First identified in an unpublished archaeological LiDAR report (Davis, 2015) commissioned by Roscommon County Council as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment for the N5 Ballaghaderreen - Scramoge road development. It is situated in pasture on a level landscape. The LiDAR image depicts a circular platform (diam. c.30m) defined by a fosse feature (Wth c. 7m) and an outer bank feature (Wth c. 8m). The edge of the central platform can be detected as a slight scarp (Wth 4m; H 0.3m) N-NE, but no other evidence of what appears to be a ring-barrow is visible at ground level. It is overlain by a N-S field bank W of the centre.
