The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in pasture with some rushes on the gentle W-facing slope of an E-W drumlin ridge. The N-S River Shannon loops eastwards c. 600m-1.2km distant from it N-E-SSE, and the small SW-NE Killukin River is at the base of the drumlin c. 250m to the SE. It was first identified by Susan Curran as part of an M.A. thesis with University College Dublin using a LiDAR survey dataset commissioned by Leitrim County Council and the National Roads Authority. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 24m) defined by a low scarp (at W: Wth 3.6m; H 0.55m). It is cut by a closed E-W land drain towards the perimeter at S. There is no visible fosse or entrance. Rath (RO011-181----) is c. 80m to the ENE.
