The National Monuments Service's description
Just off the N shore of the Callow Lough of Lough Gara. Circular overgrown island (diam. 14m; H 0.4-0.8m) of earth and stone with some bones visible and a slight causeway (L 4m), perhaps recent, at N. Cattle bones from the base of the mound produced a 14C date of 1120 +- 60 BP (Fredengren 2002, App. 1, P61; Kiln 012; Cross 92).
