The National Monuments Service's description

On reclaimed land In marshy ground in a bay on the E side of Lower Lough Gara. Included as a crannog (Cross 1953) where an iron ferule, whetstone and one chert flake were found. It is no longer visible at ground level, although there is a cairn just to the N. (Fredengren 2002, App. 1, P 60; Kiln 009)
