The National Monuments Service's description
On reclaimed land in a former inlet at the SE corner of Lower Lough Gara, now surrounded by marshy ground, and on the N side of a drainage ditch. It is known locally as 'Ned's Island'. Subcircular overgrown cairn (diam. 29m N-S; 25m E-W; H 0.4-2.25m) with a cairn (diam. 4-5m) E of the centre. Two Bann flakes were recovered here. (Fredengren 2002, App. 1, P 60; Kiln 008; Cross No. 89)
