The National Monuments Service's description
: Located in improved pasture on a SSE-facing slope, which is at the S edge of a N-S peninsula on the N shore of Lough Eidin, with the lakeshore c. 20-40m to the S. It was first identified by Susan Curran as part of an M.A. thesis with University College Dublin using a LiDAR survey dataset commissioned by Leitrim County Council and the National Roads Authority. This is an oval area (dims c. 60m ENE-SWSW; 46m NNW-SSE) defined by an earthen bank (at ENE: Wth 6.5m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.2m) NE-SE that morphs into a scarp (at S: Wth 2m; H 0.4m) SE-SW, and slight traces of a fosse NW-NE. The interior is overlain by NNW-SSE field banks towards the edge at E and W and by an ENE-WSW field bank towards the edge at S. It extends into four fields, but there is no identifiable entrance.
