The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 3.24m; Wth 1.38m; D 0.09m) is orientated WNW-ESE and is composed of over forty pieces of brushwood with occasional twigs at the N edge. There are four centrally placed pegs (diam. 0.017-0.03m) set at 45-80° angles. The brushwood is densely packed, although very fragmented to (L 0.15-0.56m). In general terms, the material on the S side of the site is composed of larger elements with surviving bark and the material on the N side consist of lighter elements displaced to a semi-upright position, probably the result of use. The site lies in well-humified Sphagnum peat with frequent Eriophorum.
