The National Monuments Service's description
Described in the ITA Survey of 1942 as 'Below graveyard (OF019-001001-) to N are traces of a rect. [rectangular] enclosure' (ITA file 1942). No obvious indication of any enclosure mentioned by Davies in the 1942.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
