The site (L 171.8m; Wth 1.25m; D 0.68m) is orientated NW-SE and runs from the SE to the NW for approximately 55m then forks in two directions. The W fork continues in a NW direction for approximately 100m, the E is orientated NNW-SSE and runs for a further c. 117m. 40m from the S end it consists of four split timber posts (L 0.68m max.; Wth 0.065m max.) and one timber stake (L 0.28m; Wth 0.04m max.) set at 40-90°. They are set apart at uneven intervals of 0.4-3.4m and have cross-sections ranging from sub-triangular to sub-rectangular in shape. All of the wood has been damaged by machinery and dislodged from their original positions to some extent.
Overall, the density of the posts and stakes varies considerably along the length of the site, most likely due to differential preservation. Three of the sightings consist of single posts or stakes but at one sighting fourteen uprights are evident. The E fork (Wth 1.03m max.) is comprised solely of stakes, while the W fork (Wth 1.25m max.) is dominated by stakes but also incorporates posts. In general, the elements do not appear to be positioned at regular intervals and other than the linear arrangement there is no distinct pattern discernible. They are set at 70-90° angles. On the S fork, 40m from the S end of the site, it overlaps with SMR OF018-180---- and the two sites are difficult to distinguish. This site may be related to SMR OF018-182----, c. 35m to the SE.
