The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 1.14m min.; Wth 3.46m; D 0.07m) has an apparent NE-SW orientation. It consists of four planks (L 0.7-2.26m; Wth 0.121-0.134m; D 0.02-0.05m), two roundwoods, and three pieces of light brushwood, two stakes and miscellaneous timber fragments. Most of the wood is transversely laid, however, two planks and some of the other elements are in irregular positions. Overall, the wood is widely spaced and one to two pieces in depth. The split timber stakes are set at 85-90° angles, 1.06m to the SW. The wood is in very poor condition and some pieces may have been disturbed. Two of the planks are half-splits, one an outer tangential and the other a trimmed, radial split. The most N plank has an oval mortice (L 0.18m; Wth 0.09m) cut into it. The site lies in well-humified Sphagnum peat with unidentified reeds and woody remains.
