The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 10.4m min.; Wth 0.74m min.; D 0.07m) is orientated E-W and composed of over twenty-two pieces of brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.04m) and a roundwood (diam. 0.07m), most of which are longitudinally laid. This wood is densely arranged, one to two pieces in depth. Although some milling damage has occurred the wood is generally in good condition. Woodworking is evidenced by some toolmarks and branch-trimming. It is in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with occasional Eriophorum and unidentified reeds. Radiocarbon dated to 400-118 cal. BC (Wk-11720). The S end of SMR OF018-169---- is 1.53m to the N.
