The National Monuments Service's description

The site (L 23.63m min.; Wth 1.5m min.; D 0.1m min.) consists of intermittent groups of stakes and a dense, irregular deposit of brushwood and twigs. At the S and N extents, the site is defined by two groups of three stakes. There is a further group of stakes at the centre of the site, adjacent to the surviving horizontal brushwood. The brushwood (L 1.5m max.; diam. 0.02-0.06m) is fragmentary, partially disturbed. The recorded stakes (L 0.42-0.72m; diam. 0.0.3-0.06m) are set at 45-80° angles. Two of the stakes are half-splits with most of the others dressed to pencil points with metal-cut toolmarks. This site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with some ericaceous remains and fibrous roots. There is a tree stump adjacent to the stakes at the S end of the site and the E end of SMR OF018-172---- is 1.53m further to the S.
