The National Monuments Service's description
Eleven pieces of light brushwood in two distinct clusters (L 1.05m; Wth 1.02m; D 0.06m). Most are set parallel to one another, with the elements in the larger W cluster orientated NNE-SSW and those in the E cluster orientated NE-SW. Only two of the pieces overlap. Four chisel points indicative of a metal tool were noted. The site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
