The National Monuments Service's description

An irregular deposit (L 1.45m min.; Wth 1.55m; D 0.25m) of over thirty fragmented pieces of brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.055m) on the field surface and in the drain face. It may have been a more cohesive length of hurdle prior to disturbance by machinery as sampling revealed that some of the pieces are interwoven. Many of the elements are orientated either E-W or N-S. The site is too disturbed to identify possible rods or sails and no uprights are evident. Only one small chisel point is evident. The site is in well-humified Sphagnum peat with some ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
