The National Monuments Service's description
A small number of brushwood pieces (Wth 0.4m; D 0.1m) in the drain base. The brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.055m) are orientated approximately N-S. Two pieces have metal-cut chisel points. Wood species are dominated by birch, with a single piece of willow also recorded. The site sits in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. It is situated c. 0.5m below and towards the SE end of SMR OF015-264---- and 1m SE of SMR OF015-204---- and SMR OF015-263----. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
