The National Monuments Service's description
The site (Wth 1.5m; D 0.25m) consists of a substantial deposit of roundwoods and light brushwood in opposing drain faces. The roundwoods (diam. 0.09-0.15m) are set apart at a small distance from each other. They tend to be orientated NW-SE. One piece lies beneath these roundwoods at an angle of c. 75° and may indicate the presence of a substructure. The brushwood is scattered between the roundwoods. Wood species include oak, Pomoideae, birch and willow. The site sits in well-humified Sphagnum peat containing Eriophorum. It is located 0.4m directly below SMR OF015-204----, c. 1m NW of SMR OF015-264---- and SMR OF015-265---- and 5.3m SE of SMR OF015-205---- which occurs at a comparable level and within the same peat stratum. Four pieces of light brushwood are also noted in the drain face 1.1m NW of the site.
