The National Monuments Service's description
A spread (Wth 2.11m; D 0.34m) of irregularly laid brushwood in opposing drain faces. The brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.05m) is well dispersed and does not form a coherent structure. It is spread through two peat strata, possibly indicative of more than one feature. The principal concentration of wood occurs in a band (Wth 0.33m; D 0.2m). Some outlying brushwood is noted to either side on the same level with a smaller spread towards the S up to 0.2m below that horizon. The quantity of wood in the E drain face is less substantial. The main spread of wood is situated in poorly-humified Sphagnum peat with occasional Eriophorum, with the lower pieces occurring in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. The site is located 5.3m NW of SMR OF015-204---- and SMR OF015-263---- and sits at a comparable level to the latter. Between these sites, a number of isolated pieces of brushwood are noted. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
