The National Monuments Service's description
A dense collection of light roundwoods, mixed brushwood and a peg (L 10.1m min.; Wth 1.56m min.; D 0.07m) orientated N-S on the field surface. The wood is mostly transversely laid, with a small number of longitudinal pieces and some at irregular angles. The elements are up to two pieces deep. The peg is situated along the W edge of the site between two roundwoods with a further stake in the opposing drain face. The E edge of the site was not determined. The wood is in good condition with a small number of pieces worked to wedge and pencil points. Amongst the species identified were birch, hazel and Pomoideae. The site sits in well-humified non-raised bog peat.
