The National Monuments Service's description
The site (Wth 0.47m; D 0.08m) is composed of light brushwood with occasional twigs on the field surface. The pieces lie mostly in an E-W direction with occasional pieces lying at irregular angles. The brushwood forms a more coherent group towards the N of the deposit and lies at a slightly higher level in the peat. The spread of material towards the S may therefore represent a slightly earlier site. The wood is in moderate condition. A metal-cut chisel point is noted on one piece. The site is situated in moderately humified Sphagnum peat.
