The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a rise which is on a W-E spur. This is a raised circular and grass-covered area (diam. 31m WNW-ESE; 29.5m NNE-SSW) that slopes down to the E (H 0.9m). It is defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 3.5-4.8m; int. H 0.3-0.6m; ext. H 1m) that is reduced to a scarp at SE. There is no visible fosse, but at the external base of the bank is a second scarp (H 1m at W to 2m at E), the result of ploughing. The original entrance is not identified
