The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a shelf on the W-facing slope of a hill that is known locally as Mullaghdun – the hill of the fort. It is visible as a small circular feature on aerial photographs (GSIAP: N 685-6). This is a slightly dished and circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 30-35m) defined by a slight scarp.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
