The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on elevated ground in gently undulating terrain. There is a fall of ground to N–NE to an expanse of lowlying pasture and bog. A back road borders the N edge of the field c. 15m to N.
A cluster of vernacular buildings, with associated subrectangular field plots, is shown here on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; the 1916 edition simply shows a shallow hachured arc, curving S–NW, incorporated at S into a field boundary.
The outline of a slightly raised, roughly circular area (24.8m E–W; 28m N–S) can be traced at ground level. It is defined on the W half by a low, sod-covered stony bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.7m at SW), with a flattened top (Wth c. 2m) and a fairly substantial external slope incorporating stones; it was possibly modified to serve as a field boundary. The E half of the enclosure has been levelled and is defined by a slight surface undulation merging with natural contours. There is a possible enclosure (MA093-048----) c. 100m to SE.
