The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on a small peninsula of gently elevated stony ground, which projects into the NE end of Bekan Lough. The peninsula is surrounded by the lake on the S, W and N sides; on the E side there is a natural depression of wet ground beyond which ground rises to a ridge –the peninsula may have been almost an island in the past.
An elongated surface spread of shattered stone in black charcoal-rich soil was exposed by ploughing. The spread (Wth 7.4m) extended for 20m in a shallow arc SSW–N, with a few small discrete patches (1-2m across) of burnt stone 4-6m to N and NE.
There is a burnt mound (MA092-116----) c. 140m to N, a burnt mound (MA092-115----) c. 130m to ESE, and an another possible burnt mound (MA092-117----) c. 180m to ESE.
