The National Monuments Service's description
In improved pasture, located on a ridge with a gentle fall of ground for c. 100m to S to the shores of Lough Bekan.
This possible rath is indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a roughly oval enclosure, with trees planted in the interior, and on the 1917 edition as a subcircular enclosure (diam. 35-40m) bordered at N by an E−W road.
It has been levelled but the faint outline of a slightly raised roughly circular area (diam. c. 30m) can be discerned. The enclosing scarp is best preserved at ENE–SE where is survives as a low rise (H 0.4m). The enclosure is clipped on its N edge by the disused E−W laneway. A field fence on a N–S axis crosses the interior to E of centre. The bulk of the interior is grass-covered; the portion lying to E of the fence is planted with conifers. An abandoned farmstead lies immediately to E.
