The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a fairly level area on the SW-facing slope of a ridge.
Indicated as ‘Cromlech’ on the 1838 and 1917 OS 6-inch maps. Low, flat-topped, roughly circular grass-grown mound (diam. 6.3m; H 0.2m at NE, 0.7m at SW). A single large stone is visible at the edge of the mound at W and a prostrate stone protrudes from the top surface at N. Two hawthorn bushes grow on the SW side. DeValera and O' Nuallain (1964, 99) assessed this monument, noting that it was used as a dump for field clearance stone, and concluded that ‘It cannot on present evidence be accepted as the site of a megalithic tomb.’
