Within a graveyard (MA080-026002-) located on a low knoll with a steep slope W–NW.
This medieval parish church, probably dating to the 15th/16th century, is named ‘Kilkinure Church’ on the 1838 and 1919 OS 6-inch maps. It survives as a ruinous rectangular building (c. 7m N–S; c.18.25m E–W) with walls (T c. 1.1m) constructed of mortared, random sandstone rubble, incorporating large, squarish blocks interspersed with horizontally laid slabs.
The N wall no longer stands and much of its line is overlain by 19th- century graves. The NE angle stands to a height of c. 3m. The S half of the E wall survives only as wall footings, incorporating at the SE angle a tree stump. The E half of the S wall stands to a height of c. 2m; the W half of the S wall no longer stands, although wall footings may survive at the SW angle. The W wall stands to a height of over 3m externally (c. 2m int.). No windows or doorways survive. There is a recess (H 0.6m; Wth 0.45m; D 0.48m), lined with large stone slabs, at the E end of the N wall. In the internal face of the W wall, there is a row of five putlog-holes at a height of 1m above present ground level.
The interior of the church has an uneven surface, and is densely covered by graves and loose rubble. Some graves overlie the foundations of the N and S walls. A rectangular grave plot (4.5m N–S; 3.75m E–W) of the modern era is appended to the external face of the S wall.
