The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located just below the highest point on a ridge, close to a gradual fall of ground at NW–NE which provides are good views, especially to NE over a valley of damp pasture. Immediately to SSE−SSW ground rises gently along the spine of the ridge.
A circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 35m) is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. By the time of the 1931 edition, the rath has been encircled by a later field boundary and only the NE arc of the enclosing bank is depicted with hachuring.
It has been levelled. Ephemeral surface undulations can be traced in a broad curve (diam. 25-30m N−S) at N−SW. The interior ground surface has an uneven, disturbed appearance. An opening to a souterrain (MA071-146001) is located in a slightly raised area, roughly NE of centre. There is a rath (MA071-145-----) 80m to SW and a possible rath (MA071-144----) 235m to SW.
