The National Monuments Service's description

Located on a low rise in gently undulating damp, rush-grown pasture, overlooked 100m to S by higher ground on which a rath (MA071-025----) is located. There is a stream 200m to E.
Circular platform (22.8m NE−SW; c. 25m NW−SE) defined by a scarp (H 2.1m at NE, 1.7m at SW; 1.55m at SSE; Wth slope c. 3m), which scarp retains a slightly raised internal lip at SW. The scarp is consistently high for most of the circuit, and is enhanced by the natural fall of ground. It is lowest at SE where there is an eroded slumped area (Wth 1.4m), now engulfed in overgrowth, possibly the site of an original entrance.
The interior is level. A field fence/property boundary on a NE−SW axis crosses the rath to NW of centre. Brambles and overgrowth have encroached on the interior; the perimeter is ringed with hawthorn and ash trees.
