The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a rise, with a stream 60m to E at the base of the slope. There are good views over the surrounding undulating landscape, with extensive views of a flat expanse of damp pasture that stretches E of the stream.
Substantially raised subcircular area or platform (34m N−S; 33m E−W) defined by a scarp (H 1.5m at S; 1.8m at SE, 1.7m at N). The scarp is incorporated into a N−S field fence at W. A low slumped section (Wth 1.5m) at NE may be an original entrance, but it is not clearly defined. Breaks eroded by cattle occur on the S arc.
The interior slopes down slightly from centre to E. There are two low sod-covered stony rises (diam. c. 1m) in the centre, possibly field clearance heaps.
The interior is grassy, with a few clumps of brambles and blackthorn scrub; brambles grow on the enclosing scarp, with a dense thicket of blackthorn immediately to W of the rath.
Another rath (MA 071-124----) is located 290m to SE.
