The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on gently rising ground, overlooked by a ridge to SSW. There are good views W−N where ground falls away gradually into a natural basin of damp pasture.
Depicted on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular embanked enclosure, crossed to SE of centre by a field boundary oriented NE−SW; it is shown on the 1931 edition as a semicircular enclosure bordered on the SE side by the NE−SW field boundary, indicating that by this date the SE third of the rath had already been levelled.
The remains consist of a broadly oval area (c. 28m NE−SW; 23m NW−SE) defined on the NW half by a scarp (H 1.4m; Wth slope 2.7m, at W) which is well preserved at W but reduces in height towards the NE and SW ends of its arc. At NE-S the scarp has been levelled to a barely discernible undulation. A field fence on a NE−SW axis crosses the rath to SE of centre. There is a souterrain (MA071-054002-) in the NW quadrant of the rath interior, indicated as ‘Cave’ on the 1838 and 1931 OS 6-inch maps.
A field boundary on a roughly N-S axis which crossed the NE edge of the rath has been removed.
