The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located at the base of a NE-facing slope, adjacent to a stream/drain at the edge of an expanse of bog which extends to NE−E.
A low sod-covered, D-shaped rise (11.8m NE-SW; 11m NW-SE; H c. 0.6m) cut on the straight side to NE by a field drain (Wth 1.4m; D 0.6m). A layer (D 0.4m) of heat-shattered angular sandstone fragments in a matrix of charcoal-rich soil is visible in section in both sides of the drain.
A hawthorn tree grows on the mound. A ringfort (MA062-136----) is located c. 100m to WSW.
