The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located near the E end of a low ridge overlooking Killaturly Lough c. 300m to S.
This wedge tomb is shown on the 1837 OS 6-inch map as a ‘Giant’s Grave’; it is not shown on the 1919 edition. DeValéra and Ó Nualláin (1964, 74, no. 82) recorded it as an oval-shaped mound (11m NE–SW; 8m NW–SE) partly obscured by overgrowth and used as a dump for field stones. Near the centre, part of a roof stone was exposed, resting on a possible side stones. Towards the SW end of the mound four uprights in an irregular NW–SE line appeared to represent the façade of an outer wall, and a number of other stones on the outer edge of the mound may have represented outer walling. It was subsequently destroyed during land reclamation and there is now no visible trace at ground level. A number of large stones heaped against the E-W field fence at S may be from the tomb.
