The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located at the break of slope on top of the S side of a roughly E–W ridge. There are extensive views in all directions, and it overlooking Killaturly Lough, which is located 300m to S.
This enclosure, probably a ringfort, is depicted on the 1919 OS 6-inch map as an oval hachured area (c. 35m E–W; c. 25m N–S), clipped at the NW and at E by roads. The interior may have sloped to the S, reflecting the natural fall of ground. It has been levelled; there is no visible trace at ground level.
