The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, located on top of a N–S ridge. Immediately to E of the rath, the ridge slope falls steeply; to W there is level ground from where the slope falls gradually.
Slightly raised circular area (38.2m E–W; 36.4m N–S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.65m; ext. H 1.5m at S). Small stones are evident along the top of the bank, with occasional larger stones. There is a poorly defined gap (Wth 1.2m) in the bank at E. It is bordered on its S side by a large stone, and a second stone is set 0.6m to N. There are minor eroded breaks in the bank at N, NW, and SW. The interior is level. In the SE quadrant there is a circular grassed-over depression (diam. 7m; D 0.6m) of uncertain significance. The rath perimeter is ringed by hazel, holly, hawthorn and blackthorn trees; the interior is grassy.
