The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located close to the N boundary of the townland, on a rise in gently undulating terrain, with good views generally. There is a gently fall of ground to NE towards a stream/drain.
Slightly raised circular area (26m N–S; 28.4m E–W) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.7m, at N). The bank has been modified in the recent past as a result of incorporation into field fences. This is evident on the W arc where there are remnants of stone facing, including large boulders. Two field fences abut the bank at S and SE. There are blackthorn bushes and tree stumps on the perimeter. A pile of field clearance stones is heaped on the bank at SE, and field clearance debris is also evident in the interior. There is a rath (MA-39-039----) 190m to SW.
