The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a low rise in an area of rolling grassland with expanses of bog c. 300m to SE.
Shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular ringfort-sized enclosure (diam. c. 30m), but depicted on later editions as a subrectangular area incorporated into a straight field boundary on the SW side. This may be the remains of a rath. It survives as a slightly raised, roughly D-shaped or sub-rectangular area (c. 38m NW–SE; 34.3m NE–SW) defined on the straight side at SW by a field fence on a NW–SE axis. At NW–N there is an arc of bank (W 4.7m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.4m) which continues at NE–S as a levelled scarp, petering out at S.
A low, irregular bank (Wth c. 2m; H 0.35-0.4m) of earth and stones curves in a shallow arc from the scarp at SE into the interior, enclosing an area (c. 12m N–S; c. 6m E–W) of uneven, disturbed ground in the SE quadrant of the interior; this appears to be the result of relatively recent modification of the enclosure.
