The National Monuments Service's description

In improved, undulating pasture, located on top of a ridge, close to the NW-facing slope where ground falls away for c. 80m to the Brusna river. There are good views to NE and SW along the course of the river valley.
This rath is shown as circular on the 1837-8 OS 6-inch map, but by the time of the 1922 edition it is shown as penannular, open to N. It consists of a sub-circular raised area (20.4m E–W; 15.5m N–S to quarry) defined at ESE−SW by an earthen bank (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.7m, at SE), reduced to a scarp (Wth slope 2.8m; ext. H 2m, at NW) at WSW−NNW. A portion (15m E−W; 6-7m N−S; D 1.2m) of the rath at NW−N has been quarried away. The exterior slope of the bank has been cut to the vertical for a length of 4m at S The interior is level. Grass covered.
