The National Monuments Service's description
This record refers to a midden, which was noted in undulating, marram grass-covered sand dunes to E of Lackan Bay. In the SMR file it is listed in the same record as a house(MA008-007002-), which was recorded by Major Aldridge (NMI Correspondence Files, 1966), however, no details are given of the midden. The midden was not found when the area was inspected in 1995 and 2010.
