In reclaimed pasture, 40m S of the River Aherlow that marks the townland boundary with Galbally. Killenellig Church site (LI049-156002-) lies 100m to S. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a possible rectangular enclosure during examination of aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000, No. 82) taken 03/11/1984 on the Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline. Visible as a rectangular-shaped area (dims. c. 35m N-S x 45m E-W) defined by rushes on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13. Visible as a rectangular-shaped area defined by drainage ditches on Google Earth orthoimage dated 14/09/2019. Possible levelled moated site the cropmark of which is visible on Google Earth orthoimages.
