The National Monuments Service's description

Medieval mills of Galbally described in the Urban Survey of Limerick (Bradley et. al. 1989, 130) as following; '"There were two mills, a grist mill (LI049-086008-) and a tucking mill, on the river Aherlow in the 17th century (Westropp 1904-5, 452) one of which may have been on the site of the Corn mill, south east of the town'.
