The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, 14m N of the Barranahown River that forms townland boundary with Killeen. An enclosure (LI048-064----) and souterrain (LI048-082----) lie 300m to the NW. Shown on the 1897 ed. 25-inch map as an oval-shaped mound or platform (dims. c. 16m NW-SE; 9m NE-SW) defined by a scarp with external fosse from N-NE. Annotated ‘Mote’ on the Cassini ed. OSi 6-inch. Overgrown monument visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages. Possible external fosse overgrown with trees visible to the NE with faint trace of curving cropmark running E-W. A linear cropmark running N-S intersects the monument at W.
