The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture on N-facing slope, 95m E of townland boundary with Ballyguileataggle. Not marked on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a sunken rectangular-shaped area or hollow depression (dims. c. 18m N-S x 18m E-W) in the NE corner of field transected at N and E post-1700 field boundaries running NW-SE and N-S. Monument visible as a scrub-covered roughly circular shaped area transected at N and E by levelled field boundaries on OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 28/06/2018. Doubtful antiquity could be the remains of a small quarry or gravel pit.
See attached Google Earth orthoimages.
